Coming Thru the Rye by Frederic Remington 27 X
30 X 24
This piece depicts frolicking cowhands turned loose on a
Saturday night, pistols shooting in the air and numb from
cheap whiskey. These cowpunchers were finally getting to
relax after a long, strenuous cattle drive. Full of emotion
and character, this is Remington's most popular piece after
the Bronco Buster. During Remington's lifetime this piece
was sold for $2,000 starting in 1902. In 1989 the last piece
to come to auction was sold for $4.4 million, the highest
figure ever paid at that time for any work done by an American
sculptor.
We have spared no expense when it comes to our museum collection.
This is the finest casting of a Coming Thru the Rye available
today. This piece retails for $9,000.00 and upwards.
We are selling wholesale for $3295.00. We offer
this piece with custom patina colors; please call for more
information on this. Production time on custom orders is
35 to 45 days.
