This wonderful bronze of Jimmie Rodgers done by popular
Texas artist John Bennet was recently featured in Cowboys
and Indians magazine December 2003 issue on page 103.
Done from a photograph of Jimmie Rodgers, who was called
the Father of Country Music, he wrote and sang many popular
songs including T for Texas. Jimmie built a home (Blue Yodeler's
Paradise) in Kerrville. He died of tuberculosis in 1933
- he was only 35.
