Completed in 1901 "The Cheyenne
Remington's biggest accomplishments in grace and fluidity.
It surpassed Remington's prior attempts to portray a horse
in natural flight. This bronze portrays warrior blazing
into battle on a galloping pony. This classic pose was inspired
by a series of photographs taken by Eadweard Muybridge.
Muybridge was the first photographer to take high speed
photography of a horse galloping at its different sequences,

stride. Remington sought to create this as accurately as
possible. This piece measures approximately 21 inches high
by 23 inches long. We are still waiting for appraisals on
this piece.
